Entry Requirements

Applicants should either be mature age or have completed the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), however applicants will be judged on their own merits

Qualification outline

This online course covers the skills and knowledge needed to identify theenvironmental impacts associated with a range of land use activities. Studies will focus on a range of areas, including: catchment and land management; biodiversity; biological surveying; fauna management; erosion control; pest animal control; plant control and revegetation through a range of theory and field work activities. These monthly workshop activities relate to units of compentence being studied at the time. The activities include plant identification (Grampian and coast), erosion studies around Hamilton, biological survey work, fauna work at a bushland reserve, GIS / GPS mapping both in the lcassroom and in the field. Management plans are studied at various locations in the surrounding district.
