Qualification outline

Deepen your understanding of key conservation and land management issues such as environmental law, animal and plant pest control, biodiversity and more. This course comprises a blend of classroom based study with participation in a wide range of industry projects. It provides students with the opportunity to undertake a blend of classroom based study with participation in a range of industry projects as part of their training. One week fieldwork at a national park or wildlife sanctuary of a threatened species is included in the training program. This information is used in their recovery program. Tri-annual macro invertebrates, water quality, fauna and flora study of Bendigo's urban lakes to support management plans of the City of Greater Bendigo. Throughout the year students are involved in fieldwork with Department of Environment and Sustainability, Parks Victoria, North Central Catchment Authority and other Environmental NGO's. Two weeks of work placement for all students at a place of their choosing within the Environmental field.
