Job description
In this job you will be actively involved in assisting the mine in achieving its environmental objectives through the implementation of effective management systems and projects including assisting in the planning, implementation and review of environmental programmes such as vegetation, dust and water monitoring; chemical and hydrocarbon management; revegetation and rehabilitation; waste management and recycling, conducting environmental inspections and audits, and following up corrective action, assisting in the preparation of reports, maintaining the environmental legal register, assisting in the preparation of approval applications to regulatory authorities and representing the mine in meetings or public forums with regulators, stakeholders and/or industry peers as required.
Required qualification/experience
To undertake this job you need a degree in Environmental Science or related discipline, experience in environmental monitoring, some experience in the mining industry and sound knowledge of environmental legislation.
